Although the definition and the use of the word “Bungalow” may differ from one region or continent to another. 7. Natural Materials: The use of natural materials such as wood and stone is common in bungalow construction, reflecting a connection to the surrounding environment.
8. Horizontal Emphasis: The design of a bungalow emphasizes horizontal lines and a low profile, blending the house into its landscape.

Neighborhoods of only bungalows offer more privacy than similar neighborhoods with two-story houses. As bungalows are one or one and a half stories, strategically planted trees and shrubs are usually sufficient to block the view of neighbors. Bungalows provide cost-effective residences.
